PFLAG isn’t just for support; it’s also for education & advocacy! At most of our monthly meetings, whether in Brewster or Falmouth, we devote at least part of the meeting to support, and the remainder to an educational or advocacy-related program.
July 20 in Brewster: Screening of the award-winning film “Five Dances.” Collaborating with internationally-renowned choreographer Jonah Bokaer, writer-director Alan Brown has taken five gifted New York dancers and fashioned a story about Chip, a talented gay 18-year-old recently arrived from Kansas who joins a small downtown modern dance company.
July 28 in Falmouth: support.
August 17 in Brewster: Screening of the new documentary "TransJourney" in partnership with the First Parish Brewster Welcoming Congregation Committee. "TransJourney" follows Sandra on her cross-country trip to share in the life of her child, formerly her son, now her "new" daughter Annabelle. Co-director and documentarian Alexia Kosmider and “Mom” Sandra Richard will be present for a Q & A after the showing.
August 27, Thursday, in Falmouth: support. (Note change of day from regular last Tuesday meetings.)
Brewster: every third Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at First Parish UU Church, 1969 Main Street Brewster.
Falmouth: every last Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, 7 Hatchville Road, E Falmouth.
[Please join us. You will be welcomed warmly, listened to respectfully without judgment, and hopefully stimulated by the discussion. Your confidentiality is assured.]
