Mission Statement
Our Mission is to promote the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families and friends through
- Support, to cope with an adverse society
- Education, to enlighten an ill-informed public
- Advocacy, to end discrimination and secure equal civil rights.
We offer individual SUPPORT through monthly meetings, telephone calls, and email.
We fulfill our pledge for EDUCATION and ADVOCACY by
- Donating literature to libraries, schools, health providers, etc.
- Providing speakers for church, student, civic groups, police recruits, etc.
- Providing participants for radio and TV programs and the Mass Safe Schools Program.
- Cooperating with other gay-friendly organizations in such things as the Hyannis Pride Parade and the new GLBT Information Hotline (1-877-GAYPRIDE).
PFLAG provides opportunities for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, working towards a healthy society that is respectful of human diversity.
